Workforce Development Scholarships are currently available through Calhoun Community College to cover the cost of tuition. Dual Enrollment Technology scholarship funds may be used to cover tuition, textbooks and supplies depending on availability of funds, the needs of the individual student and the requirements of the technical and academic classes. The scope of each scholarship is determined by available funding and the scholarship grant guidelines. Costs covered will be determined on an individual basis.
The scholarship funds are contingent upon allocations by the Alabama Legislature. Calhoun has received technology scholarship grants since the program was initiated by the state in 2008, however future grant awards are not guaranteed and will depend on availability of funding through the Alabama Workforce Development program
